Russia can raise 2020 power consumption fall outlook to 2.5–2.6%
CHELYABINSK, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- The Russian Energy Ministry can worsen the outlook for electric power consumption decline for 2020 to 2.5–2.6% from 2.4%, Deputy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak said at a government meeting Tuesday.
"We forecasted a decrease of electric power consumption at 2.4% on the year. We will adjust it to up to 2.5–2.6% as compared with last year," Grabchak said.
According to System Operator, the electric power consumption in the united energy system stood at 1.059 trillion kilowatt-hours (kWh), rising by 0.4% in 2019. Total power use fell 0.1% to 1.075 trillion kWh.
